2012.
Big year. Big dreams. Big things, both ahead and behind. Big possibilities; big possible failures. Big risks (always). Big failures, and getting bigger with time. Big recoveries and big moments that have been incomprehensible at the time that they were flashing through my mind. But without fail, I will keep on growing in order to meet the challenges, and the world will, in an excruciatingly slow...

I guess I never knew I was capable of feeling this hurt or this sorry. It’s kind of silly in the big picture of things that I should be worrying and hurting over some arbitrary selection process.
But I can’t help but pray that I don’t spiral into a bad state.

It will be as it has always been...
…music will be my savior, and dance will be my resurrection. I don’t know why I ever worried how I would make it; the answer is here in my ears, and it will soon spread across my brain to my body. When I animate, I eliminate what anyone has ever done to me; I am not just alive, but also bursting at the seams.

Love is a mystery.
“It is a mystery why we fall in love. It is a mystery how it happens. It is a mystery when it comes. It is a mystery why some love grows and it is a mystery why some love fails.
You can analyze this mystery and look for reasons and causes, but you will never do anymore than take the life out of the experience. Just as life itself is more than the sum of the bones and muscles and electrical...

The Picture of Dorian Gray
“The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art’s aim. The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things. The highest, as the lowest, form of criticism is a mode of autobiography.
Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault....

A Long Road Ahead
Every time I’m ready to give up, I take a deep breath and remember why I chose to take this difficult path. Even though others may fly ahead of me, even though I may become snarled by every trap along the way, it will be worth it, it will be worth it.

Dishonorable
When the professor asked “How many people know somebody in the military?”, about three-quarters of the room raised their hands, all apparently proud for being connected to the army in some way. But when he asked “How many people plan on entering the military at some point in their lives?”, nobody raised their hand.
It makes me want to be an exception. After all, how could...

Two stories, read them both.
An American businessman was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked why he didn’t stay out longer and catch more fish. The fisherman said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs. Then...
